In February of 2022 we trekked to New Mexico to experience White Sands in the Tularosa basin. Covering 275 square miles, the gypsum dune fields are ever changing, shifting with the winds and dazzling bright white in the sun. We photographed in the wee hours of the morning in 20 degree temperatures and late into the evening for sunsets. It was a study of light, shadow, textures and shapes.
